Dr Emily Meyerink, Osteopath from the South East suburbs of Melbourne developed a passion for wanting to help those around her as much as possible from an early age. She grew up competing at a high level in gymnastics and swimming through her schooling years. Emily went straight into Nursing after high school to gain her Bachelor of Nursing at RMIT. From there she wanted to further challenge herself and continue her studies. This led her into a Bachelor of Science (Osteopathy) and a Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University. Her interest in Osteopathy came from many trips to an Osteopath in her late teens which had a significant positive impact on her wellbeing. Emily is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
During her final year of Osteopathy studies, Emily completed placements within the community and in the student clinic working alongside many skilled health professionals. During this time she treated many complaints from all backgrounds. She looks forward to continuing and developing those skills to ensure the best outcome for those she meets. Emilys treatment approach is both direct and indirect with empathy, care and compassion. She enjoys applying her skills from all her studies to ensure those she meets are as comfortable as possible.
Additionally, Emily has undertaken further studies to add to her clinical application during practice with a Level 1 - Myofascial Needling and Cupping course.
Outside the clinic, you will often find Emily cooking, running, looking after her Bunny (Sooty) and enjoying a cup of tea.
